MUNICH SURF LESSONS
Good munich surf lessons fill up weeks ahead and the small schools go first. Below: the 3 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Meet guide Max for a three-hour Eisbachwelle session in Munich’s Englischer Garten. You’ll use a 7-foot soft-top board, 5 mm hooded wetsuit, booties, and leash while learning river-surfing technique in a small group of up to 10. The session includes assistance, photos, drinks, and coaching in English, German, or Spanish.

Meet at Himmelreichstraße 2 for a private 3 to 4-hour experience at Munich’s famous Eisbachwelle, followed by time in the English Garden. You need to swim and have moderate fitness. The tour includes admission, a mobile ticket, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.

Meet Max in Altstadt-Lehel for a three-hour Eisbachwelle session. You’ll receive a board, hooded 5 mm wetsuit, booties, instruction, locker use, drinks, and Sony camera photos. Groups are limited to five, and instruction is available in six languages. The river wave is powerful, fast, and not for complete risk-avoiders.
